Travel

getting there

Palma de Mallorca (PMI) is an international airport that serves the island and is the third largest airport in Spain. Most all European cities fly direct into Palma airport. With that, we recommend in addition to tracking flights to PMI from the US that you also monitor flights to major European hubs such as London, Madrid, and Barcelona as you can find affordable flights from there to PMI.

From the airport the city of Palma is easily accessible, only about 5 miles or 10-15 minutes away. You can either travel by taxi (about 25 euros), public transport (EMT A1 bus), arrange transport with your hotel, or rent a car for the duration of your stay.

For guests traveling from California, it takes on average 14 - 19 hours (depending on flight schedules) to arrive in Mallorca. Those traveling from Austin or Chicago to Mallorca should expect a 11 - 14 hours travel day. All guests should plan for a full day of travel before arriving on the island.
